A six-year-old boy from Ashton-on-Ribble has been helping his mum to make blue and yellow ribbons.
In January, Jonathan Brindle-Wright made a new year’s resolution with his mum Adele Brindle. The resolution was to raise money for charity.
When he realised how many ribbons had been made, he said he and his mum should sell them to raise money to charities who are helping in Ukraine.
Jonathan and his mum have also donated toiletries, first aid kits, baby food and more to send to Recycling Lives and Tippy Toes.
Mum Adele said: “Jonathan has always had a heart of gold, and knowing he has grown up wanting to help others makes me incredibly proud.
“He has a very mature and caring personality, and he is very aware that there are people who are less fortunate than him.
“When he found out that people in Ukraine were having to leave their homes and their lives to find safety, he immediately wanted to help. As a parent, it just fills your heart with pride!”
