Body found outside The Guild pub believed to be missing Preston man

Police believe the body found near The Guild in Fylde Road to be that of a missing Preston man.

An appeal had been launched to identify the man, who was sadly found deceased outside the pub on Wednesday 9 February.

On Friday (11 February), a spokesperson for Preston Police said: “Officers were today contacted by the family of a missing Preston man and although no formal identification has taken place, they strongly suspect the deceased male to be their loved one.

“Our thoughts are very much with them at this incredibly distressing time.”

The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
