Last night (Wednesday, December 8) new Covid restrictions were announced by Boris Johnson.

From Monday (December 13) people are being asked to work from home if they can.

From Friday (December 10) mask wearing will be extended to most indoor venues such as cinemas or theatres.

From next week (week beginning December 13) a Covid pass or negative lateral flow test will be needed for entry in clubs and some other venues.

Rather than isolating for 10 days Omicron-positive contacts will now have to test daily.

People are reminded that the vaccine booster is opened to all over 40s, and the gap between second and third jab has been reduced from six months to three.
