A Preston homelessness scheme has called on residents to make donations to help the less fortunate over Christmas.
AdvertisementHomelessness prevention scheme The Spires in Maudland Bank is appealing for donations, with those who previously contributed to the Fox Street Homeless Hostel welcome to make further donations.
Community Gateway Association launched The Spires in October. They urged families to spare a thought for Spires residents while celebrating the festive season.

The scheme offers a secure tenancy for up to three years for those hoping to get back on the housing ladder.
As well as safe, well-appointed apartments, the scheme includes spacious communal and training rooms to allow Gateway colleagues and partner organisations to deliver life skills training.
The training includes running a home, budgeting and cooking, helping people secure jobs, training and access to benefits or legal advice.
