St Walburge’s Church are hosting a Christmas Bazaar to raise funds for the renovation of their roof.
The scaffolding is nearly all up around the roof, and once it is, renovation works can begin.
St Walburge’s has been awarded a grant of £252,210 from Historic England through the Catholic Bishops Conference of England and Wales.

This will pay for the first phase of repair works, but the church still need to raise a further £75,000 and so they need the support of the community.
To help raise some more money, the church are hosting aChristmas Bazaar on Sunday, December 5.
The event will take place from 12.30 – 4pm.
There will be lots of stalls, games and competitions; raffles, a tombola, cakes, food and a lucky dip.
The church are also hoping people can sponsor a slate for just £10 to help raise the £75,000 needed to fix the roof.
