Mercedes driver due in court for driving at over 110mph on M6 near Preston

The driver of a Mercedes has been caught travelling at over 110mph on the M6 near Preston today (Sunday 16 May).

After being stopped by Lancashire Road Police, the driver was issued with a summons to court.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Road Police tweeted: “To all the motorists that this red Merc CLA forced out of the way and travelled in excess of 110mph M6 North from Preston today around lunch time – hopefully you saw him later stopped and issued a summons to court. (Apologies for quality of photo) only a fool breaks the 2sec rule.”
