The walk is being held on Friday (30 April) on what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday, and is in celebration of his life and fundraising endeavours for NHS charities.
The group are raising funds for charities supported by the Captain Tom Foundation.
The walk will take place at 3pm at Stanley Grange.
Organisers say anyone can take part, “whether they want to do 100 steps, 100 yards or 100 miles with a smile on their face and comfortable clothes – even fancy dress”.
