A Penwortham first-time author has released a children’s book called The Frog and The Crab.

Craig Proudfoot, an IT project manager, wrote the book in lockdown as a way to keep his mind busy during restrictions.

The 37-year-old has two young children, and he wanted to write a story for them to enjoy.

Craig is hoping to get on Amazon’s best sellers list, and has had over 20 reviews in the past few weeks since his book was released.

He said: “The inspiration just came to me randomly. I was thinking about writing a book for my kids and the story of the Frog and the Crab just came to me.

“I have a son who is five and a daughter who is three who live with me and just wanted to write a fun story for them.”

The book is available in paperback, and Kindle.
