Aldi is set to open a brand new store in Leyland next month.Advertisement
The new store on School Lane will replace the existing store on Towngate Road and will be run by Store Manager Charlotte Bury, along with a team of 26 colleagues from the local community.
It will open on Thursday 6 May at 8am.
As part of Aldi’s investment in local communities across the UK, the Leyland store will bring three new job opportunities to the area and offer more customers access to Aldi’s high quality, low-price products.

Aldi Store Manager Charlotte Bury said: “We’re really looking forward to opening the new Aldi store here in Leyland.
“It’s set to be a great day and it’ll be lovely to welcome local customers into the new store and provide them with access to affordable, high quality food.”
Customers visiting the store will be able to safely pick up all the essentials they need. The Aldi on School Lane will have a number of safety measures in place, including sanitisation stations on entry, Perspex screens at its tills and social distancing reminders in store, as well as a traffic light system in place to control the number of people going in and out of the store.

Additionally, the new Aldi store is calling on local charities and food banks in Leyland to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community.
Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, up to seven days a week. Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
