Old Holly Farm in Cabus has announced closure due to coronavirus impact

The Old Holly Farm, located just outside Garstang on the A6 has publicly announced its closure after the impact of the pandemic lead the family run farm to ‘reflect and take stock of what we are trying to manage.’

The full statement posted on the Old Holly Farm facebook feed reads: “**IMPORTANT UPDATE** We have always been proud of being both a working organic dairy farm, all whilst opening our farm up with our visitor attraction on site.COVID-19 has had an impact on everyones lives, and during the last 12 months it has given us the chance to reflect and take stock of what we are trying to manage as a family.

“Therefore we have made the incredibly difficult decision that we will not be reopening once the 3rd national lockdown ends.We would like to thank everyone who has supported us since we opened in 2007, we have always been blown away by your loyalty.

“We would also like to say a special thank you to our team, both past and present, who have been on this journey with us for the past 13+ years, you are simply amazing.Vouchers – if you have a voucher that you have not been able to spend, please post it to Old Holly Farm, Cabus, Garstang, PR3 1AA with your contact number. Vouchers must be received by the 19th March 2021.

The working organic dairy farm has already received waves of support
as floods of comments from sorrowed customers build up on the statement.

Memories of good times are clear from people who have been to the farm with one saddened user writing: ‘Really sad to read this! Holly farm was my daughters favourite place to visit from being a toddler, and her face would light up when the name was mentioned. Many a good day seeing the animals, visiting the cafe and soft play. Thank you! Wishing you well for the future.”

Another stating: ‘Absolutely gutted to read this… my eldest little boy loved our trips to see you and we’ve been waiting to bring our 1 year old. We wish you well with the farm in the future x’
