An independent living scheme for over 55s has opened in Ingol.
Community Gateway Association’s (CGA) new development The Courtyards welcomed its first residents last week.
The scheme in Dovedale Avenue includes 60 apartments, a bistro, hairdressers, beauty salon, treatment rooms, wellness suite and activity hub, supplemented with 24-hour care provision for residents who require it.
The facilities, along with the communal garden space, will be open to residentsā families and the neighbouring community to use.
Kathy Hadden, Extra Care Manager at Community Gateway Association, said: āWe are so pleased to finally be open.
“The Courtyards is set to be a truly vibrant and dynamic place for the over 55s, with fabulous apartments and great community facilities for residents to enjoy with their families and friends.”
More than 80 per cent of the apartments were secured before The Courtyards opened.

The scheme was co-designed by potential customers to allow people to live independently yet with the security of having neighbours and staff close at hand should they need them.
All one and two bed apartments have with their own personal outdoor space, and are being offered at affordable rents.
