Organised by Preston-based PR and marketing agency, 52M Consulting, the winners were revealed in a video presentation hosted by BBC Lancashire’s Graham Liver, who lives in Penwortham.
Graham said: “It’s been a strange and difficult year for us all thanks to Covid, and community has been more important than ever.
“These awards were all about recognising and celebrating the businesses that are at the heart of Penwortham’s community – the places that help to make it so special, and that bring people together – and I’m pleased to have been able to support them.”
The awards, which set out to ensure that residents and high street business remained connected during the second national Covid-19 lockdown, have proven so successful that the organisers plan to bring them back in 2021.
