The awards saw 75 Penwortham businesses competing in ten categories, with members of the public casting more than 19,000 votes over three weeks to choose the winners.
The full list of winners and their categories is as follows:
Louise Pratt of Pristine Car Wash, which won in the Automotive category, said: “What a way to round off such an awful year!
“We are so pleased to have won in our category, and want to thank our loyal customers for voting for us.
“We’ve worked hard to build our standing in the community and our reputation, and I think this award recognises that effort.”
Carol Rialas, owner of Lime Bar Lounge, which scooped the Bars and Pubs award, said: “We’re so grateful to everyone that voted for us.
“We took a massive financial risk building Lime Bar Lounge in Penwortham, but it’s a risk we’re really glad to have taken.
“We’ve been made to feel welcome by the whole community, which has also supported us through the pandemic too.”

Organised by Preston-based PR and marketing agency, 52M Consulting, the winners were revealed in a video presentation hosted by BBC Lancashire’s Graham Liver, who lives in Penwortham.
Graham said: “It’s been a strange and difficult year for us all thanks to Covid, and community has been more important than ever.
“These awards were all about recognising and celebrating the businesses that are at the heart of Penwortham’s community – the places that help to make it so special, and that bring people together – and I’m pleased to have been able to support them.”
The awards, which set out to ensure that residents and high street business remained connected during the second national Covid-19 lockdown, have proven so successful that the organisers plan to bring them back in 2021.
