Fulwood newsagent subjected to attempted early hours break in

Broadway News newsagents in Fulwood suffered an attempted break in at around 1am on Saturday, 5 December.

The alarms were set off and windows shattered. Afterwards, two people wearing all black walked off down the A6 towards Broughton.

The police were dispatched to the scene.

People in the area are being asked to be vigilant.

The shop was targeted in an incident last year where a shopkeeper was attacked and tied up in his shop during the early hours. The contents of the till were taken.

Anyone with any information about the incident should call the police on 101.
