A spokesperson for United Unities said in an update at 7.09pm on Sunday: “We’re still repairing the leak at the junction of Skeffington Road and Ribbleton Lane which is taking longer than expected. We have our Water on Wheels vehicles pumping into the water network to keep your taps flowing whilst we complete our repair work.
“Thanks for your patience, we’re working as fast as we can and hope to have your taps flowing again very soon.”
