We’re calling on people across Preston and South Ribble to support the brilliant food and drink businesses on your doorstep as Blog Preston backs InYourArea’sOrder Local campaign.

Restaurants, bars and pubs have been shut down again as England was plunged into another lockdown.

Businesses are still allowed to offer takeaway services, however, meaning you can enjoy a restaurant-quality meal from the comfort of your own home.

You can also treat yourself to an alcoholic tipple to enjoy with it, as the ban on the sale of takeaway alcohol has been overturned (so long as it’s ordered in advance).

All you have to do is order a takeaway or drinks delivery from your favourite local restaurant, bar or producer and know you’re helping to support them through another tough month in what’s already been a difficult year.

If you don’t want to lose your local, please use it if you’re in a position to.

You can help spread the word by sharing a picture of your takeaway on InYourArea and on social media with the hashtag #OrderLocal. Make sure you tag in @blogpreston across Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!

Blog Preston is making use of the free search tool where you can find businesses offering takeaway and delivery services near you.

Hospitality businesses can list for free on the platform, allowing them to advertise their lockdown food and drink offerings to millions of readers up and down the country.

How to list your hospitality business

If your business is operating a delivery or collection service during lockdown, then you can fill in this form to be added to the search tool.

Any restaurant, bar, pub, brewery, drinks producer, cafe, bakery, farm shop or other establishment offering delivery or collections during lockdown can get involved.

It’s free to list your business and it will then start to appear for some of the 500,000 people across the UK who use InYourArea each day and it will also appear on Blog Preston too.
