The Foxton Centre in Avenham has received a grant to purchase essential items for rough sleepers.
AdvertisementThe charity appealed to the Morrisons Foundation in the immediate aftermath of the Covid-19 outbreak for support to help those sleeping rough in the community, and those who may need to self-isolate due to complex underlying health conditions.
The foundation donated £500 to help The Foxton Centre purchase essential items, and cover the delivery costs of donated food that has been given to those shielding to protect themselves and others from Covid-19.

Foxton Centre Chief Executive, Jeff Marsh, said: “Here at the Foxton, we work with homeless people who have been very vulnerable throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This donation will help us deliver our valuable services to rough sleepers living in Preston.”
