Preston Police have discovered a cannabis farm worth more than £1m close to the city centre.
AdvertisementAs a result of community information Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team gained entry to a large industrial unit off Brook Street.
Hidden behind a huge dividing wall with entry only through a small secluded hatch officers located a substantial cannabis cultivation.
The grow consisted of nine rooms and over 3,500 cannabis plants of varying sizes, with a street value exceeding one million pounds.
Sgt John Lovick, of Preston Police said: “This was a substantial find which was a direct result of intelligence provided by the community and we are grateful for the information.
“We will continue to act on concerns and information provided by the public and anyone who wants to report anything to us can contact us on 101 or online.”
Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
