A new Deepdale firm is helping small businesses and local communities with a new service.
AdvertisementKeep Britain Smiling has launched its gift box initiative to help others thrive during the pandemic.
There are four themed gift boxes to choose from, each filled with artisan produce. The assortment is locally sourced from British suppliers, to help small businesses at a time when they need it most.
Beech’s Fine Chocolates – based in Fletcher Road – is one of the companies featured in the boxes, and more Preston businesses are in the pipeline.

Each box also includes the provenance of each supplier, sharing their story with new and existing customers.
So far over 30 small business have been helped as partners sign up as part of the gift box service.
Safwan Hafeji, founder of Keep Britain Smiling, said: “Small businesses are the beating heart of communities. It’s vital for their existence, for employment, and for society as a whole that we continue to support them at this time.
“Many independent businesses are struggling through the crisis, with little or no orders and job losses looming. This is why we’re trying to step in and create a new sales channel for them.
“With more people shopping online than ever before, we’ve used this as an opportunity to connect businesses with customers.
“For shoppers, it’s also an experience to discover something new, knowing that in doing so, you’re also helping to support your local community.
“From home goods to luxurious food items, there’s between five and six different products in each box to unwrap, enjoy and bring a smile to everyone’s face!”

Keep Britain Smiling is backed by Splashbox Ventures, a marketing company that helps brands connect with customers.
Items vary from box to box to reflect local suppliers, however all contents are vegetarian friendly and alcohol-free.

Boxes are available for businesses to brand to their bespoke requirements for corporate gifting, employee and team recognition and client gifting. They can also be given as care packages.
