Preston is set to see further thunderstorms during Monday (June 15) afternoon and evening.

The Met Office have issued a new warning for heavy rain and thunder.

The warning, in force between 1pm and 9pm on Monday, warns of potential travel disruption.

It follows a very muggy weekend in the city which saw an electrical storm late on Saturday evening.

The Met Office state that some flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely during the yellow weather alert, their lowest warning level.
