Moment suspected drug driver crashes into parked cars in Deepdale

Shocking footage shows the moment a driver lost control and hit parked cars in an early morning crash in Deepdale.

St George’s Road was closed by police while they dealt with the aftermath of the crash.

Three parked cars left badly damaged by the car, driven by a 38-year-old, who has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

St George’s Road was shut between the junction with Deepdale Road and the mini-roundabout where St George’s Road meets Harewood Road.

The driver of the vehicle is not understood to be hurt and no one else was injured in the crash which took place around 5.30am on Saturday (May 23).

The Deepdale Community Association said: “Recently we have noticed many speeding cars in residential areas as the roads are more clear and drivers are taking advantage of this. Please can we request more police presence.”
