A Preston artist is encouraging people to get creative during lockdown with an open exhibition on Instagram.
Alice Bohannon teaches the Drawing for Beginners evening class in her role as lecturer at Preston’s College. She started the @dailydrawlancashire account as a way to keep her students engaged through the coronavirus pandemic, as well as encourage the wider community to get creative.

Alice, who is a graduate of UCLan’s MA Ceramics course, said: “I created the Instagram page for the local community to share their artworks, drawings, prints, paintings, etc.
“The page is aimed at everybody, from little artists, to ‘proper’ artists, and everyone in between. I’m keen to build an exhibition of sorts online, that everyone can be a part of.
“My hope is it will encourage creativity, raise spirits, and get an art community together online during this time of worry and uncertainty.”
To enter your work in the exhibition, message @dailydrawlancashire on Instagram. You can see some of the entries so far below.
