Students from Fulwood Academy have been getting into the festive spirit by entertaining residents from two local care homes.
The students from the academy’s after school community enrichment group invited residents from Brooklands and Moor Park care homes into the school for a Christmas afternoon tea.
Pupils also dressed up as Santa, Mrs Claus and Santa’s elves to provide some festive fun.

The fun didn’t stop there either as Christmas cards, presents and songs were part of the celebrations. It was designed to bring the local community together over the festive period.
Fulwood Academy Principal, Philip Grant, said: “The students were a credit to the school. They have been working after school each Tuesday to organise this event which involved everything from making and designing Christmas cards, writing a shopping list for the Christmas lunch through to wrapping gifts to give to residents at the care homes.”
