A security guard has been threatened with a knife during a toy shop raid at Queens Shopping Park.

Police were called to the incident at Smyth’s Toys, which happened at 5pm on Saturday 16 November.

The security guard is now asking anyone who can help identify the suspect to contact the police.

He said: “I was in the store when I saw a male run out with a bag full of drones. I began to give chase. The male headed to Carr Street.

“At one point he said ‘go away or I’ll stab you’. He then pulled a Swiss army knife out.”

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said enquiries are ongoing.
