New lease of life for Bilsborrow village pub

Posted on - 19th November, 2019 - 12:00pm | Author - | Posted in - Business, Preston News, Pubs

A local landlord has taken the bull by the horns to bring a new lease of life to a Bilsborrow pub.

Mick O’Hara, owner of The Green Man at Inglewhite has taken on the White Bull in Garstang Road.

Mick, who owns Mikoh Inns, has already transformed the fortunes of The Green Man in Silk Mill Lane, returning the village pub to its former glory and introducing a popular food menu showcasing the best of local produce and featuring award-winning pies.

Now he has his sights set on a similar revival at the White Bull in Garstang Road, which closed late last year.

Mick said: “I’ve had a fantastic response from the locals so far who are delighted to see their local pub back up and running.

“This isn’t surprising really as the support we had at The Green Man when we took over was phenomenal.

“We’ve made the White Bull a proper sports pub, with lots of screens showing all the football, rugby, cricket and whatever else might be on.

“We’ve got a dart board and snooker table as well.

“Over the bar we’ve got a great range of beers, ciders and wines, as well as cask ales on rotation and we’ve got a great selection of pub food ideal for warming those cockles on a cold winter night.

“If you live in the area, or even if you don’t, and you’ve not been to the White Bull for a while, come down and see the improvements we’ve made to the place.”

The White Bull is open daily from noon.
