Preston is set for a damp end to the weekend.

While we might be enjoying 23 degrees and sunshine during Friday (2 August) and Saturday (3 August) there’s a stormy end for the week.

The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for Sunday (4 August).

The storm warning is in force from lunchtime on Sunday until 10pm on Sunday evening.

Preston’s weather is due to see thunderstorms from around 3pm.

A Met Office statement said: “Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some transport disruption and flooding on Sunday.”
