The next Preston InstaMeet is preparing to go underground.
AdvertisementAnd it might be some spooky goings on.
We will be exploring the Miley Tunnel.
Running underneath the Adelphi roundabout and the work ongoing by UCLan on Adelphi Square this is a unique chance to explore a tunnel which has a place in the city’s folklore.
Taking place on Monday September 9 the event is free and the InstaMeet sees photographers, both amateur and professional, share their photos on Instagram.
The hashtag for the event is #igerspreston
Meeting time is 5.30pm and the meeting point is outside the new Engineering Innovation Centre on the Adelphi roundabout.
You must register in advance on Eventbrite, you will be refused participation in the InstaMeet if you have not registered in advance due to the health and safety briefing needed at this event.
The event is not suitable for under-16s.
Update on the places, they all went in 20 minutes! And the waitlist is also full. We will try to release more places if we can once we’ve spoken with UCLan.
Wellies must be worn, the tunnel is very, very, damp! Bring a torch or flashlight!
