Customers anxiously awaiting refunds for shows which have been cancelled at the Guild Hall can expect to be refunded in due course, said Simon Rigby.
Hundreds of disappointed punters have applied for their money back after the Guild Hall closed down last week as a venue.
But after receiving an automated email response, simply notifying them the Guild Hall and Charter Theatre was closed, some were left wondering whether they would receive a refund.
Mr Rigby said: “The email is being manned and we are working our way through the emails.
“We have already made some refunds, but I do not have a number.”

Last week Mr Rigby took the decision to temporarily close the Guild Hall and Charter Theatre following the sudden death of VMS Live’s owner in a collision.
The Guild Hall is in negotiations with VMS Live to hand over the running of the venue.
