Preston day-by-day weather forecast as heatwave begins

Preston is set to bask in glorious sunshine for the weekend to come.

With Armed Forces Day and Rockprest both on in the city they should see bumper crowds as we look set for wall-to-wall sunshine.

The Met Office has a warm weather forecast for the UK in place for the coming days.

Here’s a look at the forecast for the next few days in the city.

Wednesday 26 June

Afternoon – Highs of 19 degrees and plenty of sunshine breaking through

Evening – A pleasant evening with some cloud clover

Thursday 27 June

Morning – A bright start to the day with 17 degrees by 10am, definitely a day for cycling or walking to work!

Afternoon – The sizzle begins, highs of 24 degrees from 2pm onwards

Evening – A very warm evening, staying above 20 degrees until 8pm

Friday 28 June

Morning – A little bit more cloud around, but still lots of sunshine breaking through

Afternoon – Wall-to-wall sunshine, it’s still around 22/23 degrees

Evening – Staying above 20 degrees and bright sunshine through to 9pm, a perfect post-work beer garden evening

Saturday 29 June

Morning – Another bright morning, 16 degrees by 7am and staying sunny throughout the morning

Afternoon – Highs of 25 degrees from lunchtime onwards, a little more cloud cover

Evening – A warm night, up to 20 degrees. A very slim chance of a light shower.

Sunday 30 June

Morning – Cloud cover comes in, but still bright spells. Slightly cooler at 18 degrees.

Afternoon – A muggy lunchtime, at 20 degrees, and then some sunny spells during the afternoon

Evening – Sunny intervals throughout the evening, you won’t want to go back to work!

Monday 1 July

7am – Sunshine and cloud cover during the morning, highs of 16 degrees
