Murderer from Ribbleton who went on the run is arrested

A convicted murderer who went on the run has been found.
AdvertisementThomas Parkinson absconded from HMP Kirkham on Wednesday 24 April.
The 27-year-old, originally from Ribbleton, was jailed in April 2007 for murder.
Police only issued the appeal to find him a week on from him going missing.
Lancashire Police confirmed during Sunday (12 May) evening Parkinson had been arrested and detained by Merseyside Police in Southport.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “Many thanks to them and all who shared our appeal.”
