Real ale and gin lovers will be pleased to hear a popular Fylde Road watering hole is open again.

Speakeasy is the new name for the bar once known as Bitter Suite, which has also gone by the names Ale Emporium, PR1 Bar and Mad Hatters in recent years.

Now new landlady Sam Parkinson says: “Speakeasy is a family run free house offering a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, eclectic music, gin bar, real ale craft beer and cider.”

The bar was briefly run for a few months by the Beer Brothers Brewery which is based in Walton Summit.

Speakeasy will continue to host live music events.
