Met Office issues latest warning of strong winds for Preston

Preston is being told to brace for more travel disruption and strong winds during the weekend.

Following Storm Gareth whipping the city throughout Monday to Wednesday, a new weather warning has been issued.

The Met Office has issued a warning of strong winds, at the yellow level its lowest level, from 4am on Saturday (16 March) to 9pm on Saturday.

They say delays to public transport are likely during the period.

Difficult driving conditions are expected particularly for high-sided vehicles.

Gusts of up to 50mph are expected throughout Saturday.
