Police investigate ‘sudden death’ at house in Preston

Forensic officers were at a house in the St Matthews area during Tuesday (11 December) afternoon.

Preston Police have confirmed a man’s body was found at a house in Acregate Lane.

Emergency services were called at 1.17pm to reports of a sudden death.

Police and paramedics attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday (12 December) morning the police said the man is 56-years-old and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

There is no appeal for witnesses from the police at this stage and they have ended their investigation.

There was a police presence throughout Tuesday afternoon close to the junction with Ribbleton Lane.
