A popular Penwortham restaurant will remain closed until the weekend after the funeral of its owner, as a mark of respect.
Salvatore Vivace, the owner of Salvatore’s on Liverpool Road, sadly passed away recently.
The Italian restaurant has been a favoured place of eating out in Preston since the early 1990s.
The closure was announced on Friday 12 October with a sign on the door and a post on social media.
Initially it was due to reopen the weekend following his death.
Now, the restaurant will remain closed until the weekend following his funeral which will take place on Tuesday 23 October.

The update was given by a social media post.
It said: ” The restaurant will remain closed until after the funeral proceedings next Tuesday, 23 October.
“Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time. We will provide a further update next week. The team at Salvatore’s.”
