Weekends are always a great chance to reflect on the week just gone and this week saw the second Preston InstaMeet.
Around 20 photographers, from pro to amateur, went exploring around Preston Town Hall.
We got the chance to see inside the Mayor’s Parlour and a tour of the main council chamber.
An InstaMeet then means all of that detail is captured on #igerspreston and below are some of our favourite snaps from the evening.

Climbing the staircases shows the grandeur in what was the Municipal Building of the city, before it became the Town Hall. What conversations have happened on these over the decades?
Mr Mayor, councillor Trevor Hart, was very welcoming and gave a very interesting talk and insight into all his Mayoral bling. Paul Melling captured him at his desk no doubt explaining something to us:
And speaking of Mayoral blind, Don Karlo gave a feel for the intricacies of the Mayor’s mace with this shot:
Going through into the council chamber itself, and Lovin Preston got himself into position to call order
And also some shots from Simon Holden captured the curves in the chamber:

Proceedings finished with a cheeky drink at The Orchard on the new market:
The next InstaMeet will be in a few months time, eyes peeled on Blog Preston for when.
