A yellow weather warning has been issued for Preston as Storm Debby prepares to hit.
According to the Met Office, the thunderstorm is likely to arrive between 12pm (12noon) – 10pm on Sunday (12 August).
Heavy downpours are expected to break out in the afternoon throughout Lancashire.
In areas of torrential rain, as much as 20 – 30mm of rain could fall within an hour, or 40mm in two – three hours.
Lighting, hail and gusty winds are also set to arrive during the storm.
The Met Office is warning people that there might be a small chance homes and business could become flooded.
Transport may also be affected, with a chance of delays or cancellations to trains.
Some road closures could occur and driving conditions may become difficult.

There is also a slight chance that power cuts could occur and some services to homes and business may be lost.
