With very clear skies over Preston in recent weeks it has been a treat for stargazers.
As well as the observatory tour you can also take a walk round Moor Park itself with the team of rangers who explain the heritage and natural trails around the park.
The event is free and runs from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday (15 July).
Moor Park is currently seeing more than £2million invested in a restoration project for the grade-I listed park, the largest park in the city.
