Preston is to get its first cat cafe in the coming weeks.
Dave Robb is one half of the duo behind the new venture in Cannon Street.
Update: Preston’s first cat cafe has now opened
The 39-year-old, who has given up a career in IT, said they were working hard to get the Lazy Cat Cafe finished.
He said: “My partner and I are crazy about cats and so we were there in another cat cafe and we thought – why can’t there be one of these in Preston?
“We found the premises and since then it’s been a busy time trying to get it all ready.
“We want it to be a really peaceful and restful place.
“Visiting a cat cafe is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety levels.”

The cafe will be serving coffee and Dave also said they have applied for a licence to be able to serve a glass of prosecco and other alcoholic drinks.
He will run the cafe with his partner Kathy Yeung, 38.
The cats, 12 residents in total, are mostly re-homed cats and Dave said they are hoping to partner with a Preston cat rescue in the future.
