Police have given an update regarding the investigation into the murder of a man in Fulwood.

Gareth Roberts, 36, died in hospital following a fight at a house in Fulwood in January.

A 37-year-old man from Huddersfield and a 36-year-old woman from Preston were initially arrested on suspicion of murder.

They were bailed pending further enquiries until Sunday (11 February).

Now Preston Police have extended this period until 8 April.

Mr Roberts’ funeral was held in early February after a fundraising campaign by family and friends.

He was found at an address in Levensgarth Avenue in the Sharoe Green area around 5.35am on Saturday 13 January.

A post mortem showed he died from ‘traumatic head, face and neck injuries’.
