Part of the Kuckoo bar brand, owners took the decision to not renew the licence for the Beachcomber premises.
With Kuckoo bar remaining open next door to Beachcomber, owners insisted that they were focusing on expanding the brand across the country.
Other Kuckoo bars are located in Chester, Sheffield and Knutsford.
A spokesperson for Beachcomber said: “Beachcomber reached the end of its lease so we took the decision to close it.
“We are a family business from Preston that created one of the best cocktail brands in the north of England and are currently rolling the brand out nationwide.
“The building’s lease had expired and we focused on the roll out of the Kuckoo brand across the country.”
