Animal centre at Ribby Hall features in CBeebies episode

An animal centre near Preston is to be featured on a CBeebies show.

Wild Discovery at Ribby Hall Village sees a visit from Fern and Rory’s Vet Tales.

Zoo director Neil Trickett and his son Austin are part of the show.

The BBC spent two days filming at Wild Discovery following Nigel during two shifts.

It includes Albert the armadillo receiving a full health check as well as being micro chipped.

Mr Trickett said: “Austin was fantastic throughout the filming. Whilst he’s used to handling all sorts of animals, working around the cameras and crew was a first time experience but you’d never have known. I think that Austin took a lot from the whole experience, found it fun and also educational too.

“Austin discovered for example that an armadillo is in fact a mammal, not a reptile, as many others too may think.”

The episode is due to air on CBeebies TV on Tuesday (27 February) at 4.30pm.
