Inside the marquee as Oktoberfest comes to Preston

A taste of Bavaria has come to Preston as the city’s first Oktoberfest takes place.

The Flag Market has capacity for hundreds of beer lovers in a giant marquee with more than 3,000 people expected in total.

Traditional German food is on offer with bratwurst and pretzels.

Oompah bands are in full swing inside the marquee playing classic tunes.

The Oktoberfest runs until Saturday evening with two sessions on the Saturday from 12noon to 5pm and again from 6pm to 11pm.

Tickets start from £11 for a standing ticket.
