Man attacked during Preston Station disagreement

The man was attacked on the footbridge leading over the platforms

A man was left with a broken nose after an attack at Preston Railway Station.

The incident on Tuesday (11 July) left the man with injuries including cuts, bruises, the broken nose and a concussion.

He became involved in a disagreement with a group of youths on the footbridge between Platforms five, six and seven.

The man was attacked around 10.55pm.

He was dressed in a navy suit with a white shirt and dark tie, with brown shoes and carrying an umbrella.

British Transport Police say they think there were a number of witnesses to the incident and would like anyone who saw it to come forward.
