A new burger bar will be opening in Preston city centre later this year.

The new restaurant, which will be located at 20 Guildhall Street, will be called We Don’t Give A Fork.

Mark O’Rourke, who is opening the new eatery, said: “I noticed a gap in the market for a fresh burger restaurant that is simplistic, budget friendly and has emphasis on using the best local produce available.

“There will be a small menu without any starters or sides.

“We will be the place to go when you just crave a burger with fries and beer in an relaxed atmosphere.

“If that doesn’t butter your crumpet I don’t know what will!”

There is currently no confirmed opening date but it is expected that more details will be revealed in the next few weeks.

The building has been empty since February when Latch unexpectedly closed down due to issues with noise complaints.

They will face competition from the likes of The Ferret and Solita.
