A Preston artist is appearing on TV this week doing some painting under pressure.
AdvertisementSally Dyer is competing to be Portrait Artist of the Year on Sky Arts – her second appearance on the channel.
She beat more than 2,000 applicants in 2014 to make it into the filmed heats at the Wallace Collection in London.
Sally, 27, had the chance to paint Daniel Roche – who plays Ben in BBC sitcom Outnumbered. And she made it through to the semi-finals.
Sally said: “It was a great positive experience for me at the time that lead on to me opening my working studio in Penwortham.
“I lead creative workshops for adults and children I also created commissioned portraits for people who had seen my work on the show.”
Her latest appearance was filmed in May and featured three famous sitters who sit for a different group of artists.

The artists have just four hours to create a finished piece of work that’s judged by Tai-Shan Shierenberg, Katie Bryan and Kathlee Soriano – all curators and aclaimed artists.
The show is on Sky Arts on Tuesday 7 February from 8pm.
