Part of a busy Fulwood road is to be closed during a weekend in February.

Update: Cold weather means Eastway closure date is changed

Eastway between the Ibis Hotel roundabout and the D’urton Lane roundabout is to be resurfaced.

This adds to the temporary traffic lights which are already on the road.

The roadworks are to take place from 7.30am on Saturday 11 February until 7.30pm on Sunday 12 February.

A signed diversion will be in place, taking drivers along Sharoe Green Lane and Sherwood Way.

A spokesman for the Preston and South Ribble City Deal said: “This work is taking place as part of our long term City Deal plans which will help people get around and bring new homes and jobs to the area.

“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience while this work is carried out. We’re working hard to keep the disruption to a minimum, but please allow more time if you’re travelling in this area.”
