A wintry blast is beginning to grip Preston in its cold clutches.
Temperatures could fall as low as minus two in some areas of the city into Monday morning.
The Met Office says the UK is due for an arctic chill as winds from the North sweep in.
Sunday has seen temperatures drop to around two degrees in the evening as strong winds bring a further chill.
Monday (7 November) is due to dawn with a heavy frost, especially in more rural areas around the edge of the city – so be sure to have the ice scraper ready for the car.
It will be sunny but cold throughout Monday with temperatures climbing to seven degrees.
Tuesday is due to feel colder, with temperatures making their way to a maximum of four degrees although it is not due to fall below freezing.
The rest of the week looks settled but cold before rain on Saturday (12 November).
