It follows scenes like this down the road and in its alleyways off it.

A mattress was among the detritus dumped in late July and since then the problem appears to have grown worse.

The report in July, from a Mr Ali, of flytipping read: “Between Acregate Lane & Tunbridge Street. People are fly tipping in the alley way and it is causing a serious smell which is affecting the area and the smell is going into the houses.

“My children are feeling sick and have been ill recently due to the serious smell.

“Please investigate ASAP. It’s definitely a health & safety concern for the area/community.

“Is there a possibility that a metal Door or something can be installed? As it’s becoming a serious fly tipping concern in this area!”
