The turf has officially gone down at The Ferret with the 10th annual Glastonferret beginning today at 7pm.
Every year the Fylde Road hosts a music festival across a weekend that has become famous for the real grass laid inside the bar.
The three-day festival begins this evening (July 8) and continues until Sunday night (July 10) with performances from Jeremiah Ferrari, Strange Bones and a whole host of acts from Preston and the surrounding area.
The pictures in this article show how The Ferret looked this afternoon before the live music started.
Weekend tickets are ÂŁ10 and available from here.
Dan Morris, manager and promoter at The Ferret, said “This is far more than a line up to us, its a piece of our hearts.
If I was the other side of the bar, I would be stood in front of that stage for 3 days straight not moving, just watching and listening!
The best part about the festival, is the energy and diversity of entertainment it brings!
Once you’ve inhaled that first scent of freshly laid turf, you’ll be hooked for life! No one comes into the festival thinking “I’m gonna have a s*** time today” they come in saying “LETS SMASH THIS!” You leave a Ferret Disciple!”
