Hundreds watched on as the dog show was underway in Worden Park
Leyland Festival 2016 was described as ‘one of the biggest ever’ by many of the volunteer staff working on the day. A mixture of beautiful weather and dozens of attractions drew in people in the thousands.
One of the many stalls attracting record numbers of visitors.
With food-stands, ‘Paws in the Park’ dog show, Street Monkeys, giant kites and many more, those who turned up were spoiled for choice over the activities on offer. There was even a closed-off pen for children to ‘beat’ their fathers at football (with plenty of fouls!) This year’s edition of the popular festival truly catered for all; from a rock-climbing wall to a Rock FM concert, a beer tent to even a goat mingling with the dogs.
Goat called “Hobo” shared photos with visitors to the festival.
Despite the occasional cloud breaking up the sun and warmth, the dog show saw some record-breaking applicants, with the ‘prettiest female’ attracting 18 owners with their dogs in tow.
Hundreds gathered around the inflatable Rock FM concert stage.
