The weather was atrocious but still people turned out in the pouring rain to get a little bit of the carnival spirit.
The costumes were stunning and it was obvious that a lot of work had gone into making them so it is a real shame that Preston missed out on the full carnival parade this year.
Preston Carnival procession had to be shelved this year, the secondĀ time in 30 years, due to a lack of funds.
Hopefully the show of support on the Flag Market this weekend is a good omen for 2017!
